KA&MELOCK KM 22
KA&MELOCK KM 22 is a universal elastomer bonding agent designed for bonding a wide range of elastomer compounds to metal and plastic substrates. It is intended for use in combination with the appropriate primer KA&MELOCK MP 05.
This bonding system provides excellent resistance to corrosion, temperature, and oils. The KA&MELOCK KM 22 system is lead-free and suitable for demanding industrial applications.
KA&MELOCK KM 20 bonds elastomer compounds based on Natural Rubber (NR), Butadiene (BR), Isoprene (IR), Styrene-Butadiene Rubber (SBR), Butyl Rubber (IIR), Nitrile Rubber (NBR), and Chloroprene Rubber (CR) to a wide range of metals, alloys, and polar polymeric substrates.
Bonding occurs during the vulcanization process. Typical curing temperatures for molding applications range from 130–180 °C.
For tank lining applications, lower curing temperatures of approximately 100 °C can also be used, combined with extended curing times.
